Yue Zhang joined the Zicklin School as an Assistant Professor of Accountancy in the fall of 2020 after earning her PhD in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds an MA in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and a BA in Economics from Peking University in China. Her research interests are in empirical financial accounting, in the areas of corporate disclosures, product market competition, and healthcare. Her dissertation examines how pharmaceutical companies’ drug development decisions respond to disclosures of interim R&D success by their competitors.
