The Field Fellowship Program at the Field Center provides valuable professional development experience for students alongside a rigorous academic program at the Zicklin School of Business. Undergraduate and graduate students (Field Fellows) work alongside faculty and staff in various initiatives and projects such as our Maker Hub initiative, consulting through the Small Business Development Center, and assisting with the Center’s operations, marketing and research.
Pay: $12/hour for undergraduate students.
Reporting to the Office Manager of the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship this position will assume the following clerical/receptionist duties:
Responsibilities
• Manage the front desk, greeting clients upon arrival and providing the proper documentation.
– Does routine upkeep of office machines, e.g., photocopiers, printers, etc.
• Files documents and/or data as needed. Updates existing files.
• Answer telephone calls; screens incoming calls and forwards/refers them to the proper person
• Assist in maintaining Center’s client database.
• Assists with arrangements for special events (e.g. conferences, reservations of rooms, travel arrangements, catering services, etc).
• Receives mail for the Center and distributes it among the proper persons; may sort mail per instructions.
• Prepare the Field Center’s mailings to various constituencies
• Duplicates, collates, and distribute materials. Coordinates work of others to produce and distribute materials; confers with printing department as needed.
• Assist in updating the Field Center’s websites as needed.
• Manages the Field Center and SBDC email accounts.
• Schedule client appointments with appropriate Business Advisor and/or Field Mentor.

The Lawrence N. Field Center is seeking a highly creative, talented and self-motivated Graphic Communications Intern, responsible for the design and creative execution of vital marketing
materials. The Graphic Communications Intern will report to and assist the Community Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Create print marketing collateral, including brochures, print ads, direct mail pieces, logos, etc.
- Design graphics, videos and animations for e-blasts, website and social media platforms
- Coordinate with outside vendors for the printing and manufacturing of marketing and promotional materials
- Ensure visual designs communicate desired messages and functions successfully for varying technical and performance specifications
- Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties in compliance with our branding guidelines
Qualifications
- Working towards a Bachelors degree or equivalent in fine arts, design, graphics or a similar field

The Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship is seeking a highly creative, talented and self- motivated part time Marketing/Social Media Intern, responsible for the creation and execution of student marketing outreach. The Marketing Intern will report to and assist the Community Manager.
Pay: $15/hour for undergraduate students.
Responsibilities
- Create marketing materials to promote Field Center/ SBDC events
- Create and execute social media campaigns to engage and grow the community
- Write and post relevant content to all social media channels.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to update social media channels
- Provide assistance in creating and enhancing campaign contact list
- Monitor and report on Social Media metrics, making recommendations for improvement of social media posts, newsletters, and campaigns

The Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship is seeking a highly creative, talented and self- motivated individual who will be responsible for supporting this campus-wide program. The MakerHub is open to the Baruch College community and provides students, faculty and staff with opportunities to exercise their creativity using technologies such as 3D printers (Makerbot, 3D Systems Cube, Form Labs), scanners, Legos, Cublets, Sparkfun Kits and Makey Makeys, etc.
The ideal individual understands the principles of engineering, design and design thinking and demonstrates a passion and knowledge about the use of technologies to support creative, engaged learning. Working with Baruch faculty, the individual will also be responsible for helping design, document, prep and present original workshops. This position serves as a liason between the Field Center for Entrepreneurship, the MakerHub, Baruch faculty and students. The Makerspace Coordinator will report to Field Center Director.
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following. In addition to these duties, this position provides access to the maker space and its resources with encouragement for the development, creation, and exhibition of original work.
Responsibilities
- Partner with faculty leaders in growing maker culture on campus by demonstrating and sharing the value maker technologies.
- Assist student and faculty use of equipment and tools, ensure safety, and ensure compliance with the rules and policies of the workspace.
- Provide one-on-one and group instruction for students and faculty as needed.
- Manage a team of interns and part time employees.
- Participates in reviewing, evaluating, consulting on, and approving student projects and, where required, faculty research projects.
- Coordinate operations including training seminars, classroom visits and other special events.
- Collaborate with faculty and student workers to develop documentation, videos and/or other support materials.
- Create protocols for Makerspace equipment.
- Organize and maintain workspace and equipment and make recommendations for additional equipment purchases.
- Assist with related clubs and other extra-curricular programming (occasional evening commitment as needed).
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- 2+ years facilitating learning experiences and a demonstrated ability providing one-on-one or small group instruction.
- Project management experience is required.
- Ability to manage and work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with website content management tools/programs (ex: wordpress)

Community Coordinator
Position Type: Part Time

Duties: Reporting to the Director of the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship, the Field Center Community Coordinator will assume duties as follows:
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and coordinate the execution of marketing materials for all student communications
- Assist the Field Center Director and Assistant Director of Programs in promoting Field Center events including recruitment, coworking, mentor networking, and workshops
- Oversee all Field Center traditional and digital channels and ensure they are updated in a timely manner; including the website, emails/newsletters, brochures, and social media channels
- Execute outreach for all Field Center programs and initiatives; including coordination with the CUNY community and external partners
- Assist with maintaining and updating contact list consisting of students, staff, faculty and external partners
- Provide support to Field Center staff
Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree or equivalent in marketing is preferred
- A minimum of two years work experience in related field
- Prior knowledge of small business needs required
- Knowledge and experience working with CUNY and individual colleges is a plus
- Working knowledge of WordPress, Constant Contact, HootSuite, and Google Analytics required
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat; Final Cut Pro desired
