Thinking about studying abroad? Think about it NOW!

The best way to learn about studying abroad is to continue reading the Study Abroad website. The three main sections of the Study Abroad website-Plan, Choose, Apply-provide important information about all aspects of your study abroad journey. Please consult the website in preparation for your Virtual Information Session or In-Person or Virtual Study Abroad Advising Session, and use it as a resource for questions you might have.

Your first step on your study abroad journey is to complete the online Study Abroad Virtual Information Session, where you will be given an overview of your study abroad options and the application process. The Study Abroad Virtual Information Session is a self-activated video that is accessible on the web. To gain access, please log in to the Study Abroad Virtual Information Session using your Baruch username and password. If you are not sure what your Baruch username is, please use this BCTC web page to find out.

If you are not a student at Baruch College, but wish to gain access to the Baruch College Study Abroad Virtual Information Session, please contact the Baruch College Study Abroad Office (study.abroad@baruch.cuny.edu).

How to Complete the Study Abroad Virtual Information Session
  1. Click on this hyperlink to access the Study Abroad Virtual Information Session.
  2. Log in using your Baruch username and password. (Be sure it is your Baruch username.)
  3. Follow the steps in the survey and click on the hyperlink to the Study Abroad Virtual Information Session.
  4. View the video, then take a brief quiz.
  5. Answer 75 % of the questions correctly, and you will be given access to the Study Abroad Application Portal.

If you have already completed a Virtual Information Session and have additional questions, please sign-up for a Study Abroad VIRTUAL Advising Session or come to our office for a Study Abroad IN-PERSON Advising Session during our Study Abroad Office Drop-in Hours

In-Person and Virtual Drop-in Advising Hours for Fall 2025
The members of the Study Abroad Office staff are here to answer any questions you might have about your study abroad plans. During the Fall 2025 semester, we hold scheduled Drop-in Hours Monday-Friday. Some of these Drop-in Hours are done virtually, and some are done in person.

Most students should attend a Study Abroad Virtual INFORMATION Session (see above) before speaking with an advisor in the Study Abroad Office during Drop-in Hours. Graduate students are NOT required to attend a Virtual Information Session as a first step. Instead, they should speak with the Director of Study Abroad during a Study Abroad VIRTUAL Advising Session or during In-Person Drop-in Hours (see below).
