When do you have appointments?
All appointments are held Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm. The SBDC is closed on federal and state holidays.
Why do I have to come in?
We prefer the first client meeting with a business advisor to be on a one-on-one basis. After the first meeting, it is up to the advisor to decide on the best method to follow-up.
Will you write my business plan? The SBDC offers professional guidance, workshops and courses to help entrepreneurs formulate their business plan and strategy.
Do you loan money? The SBDC does not provide loans, but we do assist small business owners with loan packages and introduce them to bankers.
How can I become a speaker at SBDC seminars? At this time, speakers are limited to Baruch faculty and affiliated partners.
How are you different than SCORE and the SBA? Baruch’s Small Business Development Center is one of the SBA’s network of regional partners. We offer similar services on a localized level.
Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
All of the SBDC advisors sign a confidentiality agreement upon employment at the center.
Will you keep information confidential?
