Interim Associate Dean, Administration and Finance
Marios Koufaris is the interim Associate Dean for Administration and Finance in the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and a professor in the Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics, where he served as Department Chair from July 2016 until December 2022. He has also served as the area coordinator for the PhD program in Information Systems.
He received a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Stern School of Business of New York University, as well as a B.Sc. in Decision Sciences from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in Psychology from the College of Arts and Sciences, both at the University of Pennsylvania. His research has focused mainly on the determinants of user beliefs, attitudes, and behavior in different contexts. His work has been published in multiple journals, including Information Systems Research , MIS Quarterly , European Journal of Information Systems , Journal of Management Information Systems , International Journal of Electronic Commerce , and Information & Management . He previously served as Senior Associate Editor of the European Journal of Information Systems . Prof. Koufaris has taught courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels with an emphasis on IT strategy, e-business principles, and Information Systems research.
