Baruch has initiated a national search for the next Willem Kooyker Dean of the Zicklin School of Business, with the expectation of the role being filled by July 1, 2023.
The mission of the Zicklin School of Business is to educate future business leaders by developing intellectual curiosity, strong integrity, a commitment to social responsibility, and global competence through impactful research and quality academic programs. Reporting to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Kooyker Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the Zicklin School of Business and responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial direction of the School. The Dean will work in close partnership with other deans and executive officers of the College and serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet. The new dean will be a passionate advocate for public higher education, academic excellence, and for the special history and mission of Baruch College and The City University of New York. The involvement of the Baruch community will be paramount in identifying distinguished candidates from diverse disciplines and backgrounds.
Provost Linda Essig has invited members from across the College community to serve on a diverse and critically important search committee, which is chaired by Dean Jessica Lang of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences
The national search will be guided by executive search firm WittKieffer which will assist in rendering a strong and diverse pool of candidates. WittKieffer is very familiar with Baruch College, having supported the searches for both President Wu and Provost Essig. The lead consultants are Robin Mamlet and Sarah Palmer.
