Three Cheers for Innovative Zicklin Faculty!
March 10, 2025Three Zicklin faculty members have won the Zicklin Innovation in Teaching Awards for 2025, announced Marios Koufaris, interim associate dean for administration and finance. Each award came with a $7,000 stipend.

Associate Professor Mahima Hada (Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing and International Business) won for her work creating two cutting-edge courses on marketing analytics; she incorporated industry mentoring in the graduate-level course and machine learning techniques, Rapid Miner, and large language models (LLMs) in the undergraduate one.
Associate Professor Hagit Levy-Shalev (Stan Ross Department of Accountancy) was honored for her revamp of core accounting classes, for which she implemented auto-grading and developed data analytics cases with randomized datasets.
Associate Professor William Millhiser (Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management) received an award based on his efforts to convert three courses to team-based learning; he used cutting-edge technology and 25 mini-cases to do so.

Weber, Willem Kooyker Dean of the Zicklin School of Business. “Our three faculty colleagues demonstrate the commitment to continuous improvement and creative instruction that have been halmarks of the Zicklin School since its founding. The ingenuity our faculty members demonstrate continues to inspire our students and the Zicklin community every day.”
