Zicklin MBA Alum Creates LGBTQ+ Scholarship

Zicklin MBA Grad Launches LGBTQ+ Scholarship  

Eric Pliner (MBA, ’10) was the keynote speaker at Baruch’s first annual LGBTQ+ Lavender Graduation ceremony in May. He announced the launch of the Pliner-Bloom Family Scholarship, a scholarship to support Zicklin graduate students who demonstrate active support and a dedication to advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community.   

Formerly the CEO of YSC Consulting, which was acquired last year by Accenture, Pliner is now Accenture’s global head of leadership and culture. He told the audience that he developed a passion for leadership at the Zicklin School thanks to the influence of an adjunct professor of management. “Where do you get your ideas of right and wrong?” he asked the audience, urging them to consider their own morals as business leaders. “Send me your resumes!” he added.  

The Pliner-Bloom Family Scholarship will launch in fall 2025.
