Zicklin School Information Systems Faculty Recognized for Innovative Research
March 26, 2024The annual Association of Information Systems Research Rankings were released earlier this month, and the Zicklin School’s Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics continued to rise nationally on the strength of its faculty’s research.
The department placed number one among public institutions in New York State for innovative research published in leading peer-reviewed journals. Of the 218 colleges and universities in North America that were included in the rankings, the Chook Department placed number 24 nationally, above well-known institutions including the University of California at Irvine, Boston University, and Emory. This latest ranking represents an increase of six positions from the department’s 2023 ranking, which itself was in increase of 14 positions from the 2022 placement. Worldwide, the department ranking is number 33 (compared to 39, 57, and 125 in the last three cycles).
“This is a significant achievement that highlights impactful research conducted by our faculty,” said Nanda Kumar, professor and chair of the Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics.
