Twenty-six undergraduate students from the ESCE International Business School spent two weeks this summer at the Zicklin School of Business on its Summer Immersion Program: Business and Culture in New York City. Offered by the Office of Executive Programs in the Zicklin School of Business, the Summer Immersion Program combines lectures on specialized business topics with site visits to leading New York City companies, institutions, and unique local neighborhoods.
The French students, who are in their first year of business school, enjoyed site visits to the United Nations and IBM’s Client Innovation Studio at Astor Place in the East Village. They also enjoyed tours of cultural institutions, including the National Museum of the American Indian and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
“In this program, students visit businesses and institutions that are completely new to them, which widens their perceptions of opportunities open to them in their future careers. The experience that the Zicklin School’s Summer Immersion Program offers them goes beyond anything that is possible in traditional classrooms,” said Joseph Onochie, PhD, executive director of the Office of Executive Education (non-degree) and an associate professor of finance.
The French students were the first of several such groups visiting the Zicklin School on summer immersion programs, Dr. Onochie added.
