Zicklin’s MBA Consulting Program Helps Startup Realize Its Vision of Bringing Inclusive Design to the Masses

When you sip your morning coffee, do you ever think about the design of the mug you’re holding? Probably not. But if you had tremors from Parkinson’s disease or were missing fingers or a hand, could you still hold it? The founders of CURVD, a startup that makes products accessible for everyone, designed a mug that can be used by the abled and disabled alike. The only problem was, they needed help selling it.

Zicklin Undergrads Place in Top 6 Percent in Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge

Zicklin undergraduate students Hugo Bravo (BBA, ’23), Oscar Manchego (BBA, ’22)  Carlos Rodriguez (BBA, ’23), and Yanfei Wu (BBA, ’22) were given a hypothetical portfolio of $1 million to invest over a seven-week period. Using the Bloomberg terminals in the Subotnick Financial Trading Center, they bested 93 percent of the student teams in the worldwide competition.

Lynn Martin, a member of the Advisory Council of the Weissman Center for International Business since 2018 and a past Mitsui Lunch-Time Forum speaker who presented on “Big Data, Big Opportunity,” has been appointed president of the New York Stock Exchange.

Associate Professor Alex Mills (Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management) coauthored a paper, “CEO Tenure and Recall Risk Management in the Consumer Products Industry,” that was publicized on the Indiana University news website.

The Zicklin School’s MBA in Real Estate degree was ranked fifth nationwide by Best Accredited Colleges.
