Baruch College Signs Historic Agreement with First Community College Partner in Business Academy
It was a landmark moment for the Zicklin School on October 19, when Baruch College President S. David Wu and Borough of Manhattan Community College President Anthony Munroe celebrated the official launch of the BMCC-Baruch Business Academy, which provides a seamless pathway for business students to transfer from BMCC into the Zicklin School of Business.

John Gomes (MBA, ’02), co-founder of luxury real estate firm Eklund|Gomes (featured on the Bravo reality series Million Dollar Listing), spoke at the Weissman Center for International Business’ Mitsui USA Lunch-Time Forum last month. After an introduction by Baruch College President S. David Wu (pictured here with Gomes), Gomes talked about taking his company from New York to Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, and Austin, TX. And it all started 20 years ago in the Full-Time MBA program at the Zicklin School.
#WhyZicklin: Meet Akiva Tarnow-Fine (BBA, ’24)
This Zicklin undergraduate saw us filming a #WhyZicklin video on the Clivner=Field Plaza recently and spontaneously decided to answer the question himself: “Why’d I want to come to Zicklin? . . . I’m kind of a math guy, so I looked into Zicklin and I saw that they had a good data science program, and data science is very big right now. The bang for the buck is unbelievable, and we’re in the best city in the world.”
