Zicklin Alum Brings Alma Mater and Mother Country Together
Ever since alumnus Carlos dos Santos earned his Executive MBA from the Zicklin School of Business in 1999, he’s been searching for ways to build relationships between his alma mater and his native country, Mozambique, which he represents as ambassador to the United States and Canada. Now, that collaborative spirit has borne its first fruit.
Ten Zicklin Undergraduates Win Gilman Scholarships to Study Abroad
Among 1,500 students from across the country, 10 Zicklin School undergraduate students were selected for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Professor Marc Edelman (Department of Law) argued in Forbes that college professors should not be allowed to bet on their school’s sporting events.
Assistant Professor Tanuka Ghoshal (Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing and International Business) was featured in a WalletHub story about cheap car insurance in New York.
The United Nations-backed Principles for Responsible Investment reviewed research by Associate Professor Sonali Hazarika (Bert W. Wasserman Department of Economics and Finance), alumna Aditya Kashikar (PhD, ’20), and Professor Lin Peng (Bert W. Wasserman Department of Economics and Finance) on linking ESG goals to executive pay.
Professor Debbie Kaminer (Department of Law) wrote about vaccine mandates for The Conversation and was interviewed on this topic on National Public Radio’s “The Colin McEnroe Show.”
Adjunct Lecturer Elyse Kane (Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing and International Business) was quoted in Ad Age.
