Zicklin Undergrads Help Refugees While Gaining Job Skills
Professor Donna Gitter of the Zicklin School of Business Department of Law teaches a course for Baruch students in the Macaulay Honors program called “The Peopling of New York,” in which she has partnered with nonprofit associations to create experiential learning opportunities for her students. A case in point was a recent partnership with HIAS, a nonprofit that helps rescue and resettle refugees who have fled persecution in their home countries.
How His Zicklin School Experience Motivated This Successful Entrepreneur
Seth Besmertnik is the CEO and co-founder of Conductor, Inc., an organic search engine optimization company with over 300 employees and customers that include household names like Slack, Citibank, and Visa. Seth was inspired to launch the company by his coursework in entrepreneurship and small business management at the Zicklin School.
